Here is an interesting site of a group of cyclists cycling from Cairo,Egypt to CapeTown,South Africa. They started in January 2003 and are planning on finishing by April 2003.
They are being sagged supported, some are riding it as a race some are riding it as a tour and some are just doing parts of the ride.
I understand the tour organizers are riding it on recumbents.
