Foo - Funny how, when you play video games a lot, you stop posting!

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Yeah, for real. Trying to post and play video games while it's saving the game totally cuts down on the amount of BF time. Unless I'm at work.

Well, at least I can still post while Steam is patching my games....god that thing is slower than molasses in a Wisconsin Winter....

I was going to make some comment about playing games so much equates to not a prosperous life, then I realized posting a ton on a public internet forum isn't much different. Gawd I need to ride my bike and get work done, not necessarily in that order :roflmao:

What game are you playing? I am playing Grand Theft Auto but I am getting a little board with it. I want to get half life next.

Half-Life 2. Just bought it last night. Most intense game I have played ina long time. Oblivion was a damn great RPG, but it does not even come close to this for sustained intensity.

I have found some pretty sad virtual stupidity....err...AI bugs though....like if you are in the right position, the enemy takes way too long to realize you are there....but being on a airboat in a river, being chased down by a helipcopter that is firing off it's machine gun at you, lunching rockets at you, and dropping mines into the water....is nothing short of pure chaos.

Oh, and it runs perfectly on my system on it's highest quality settings :D

Cool I cannot wait to get it then. I may have to up my system to get the high quality setting though (Athlon XP 1.4GHZ/1GB RAM/64MB Video). I've been wanting to do this for a while now anyway.

Doom 3

Fun game. Classic first person shooter. you ever play on line? I have not played that in a while, I think I forgot how.

Yeah, you will need a pretty nice upgrade to take advantage of this game at anything but low settings. It does use HDR as well as AA/AF, so maybe now is the time to go PCI-express, and grab an ATI X1800.

ATI does have the lead in the videocard arms race for one reason: they can do AA/AF and HDR at the same time....Nvida can't do it without resorting to 3rd party wrappers....and last time I checked wrappers can get your steam account flagged as a cheater, since it's a DLL hack.
