Hey folks, newbe to the forum and getting back into cross after a lllllooooonnnnnggggg lay off.
I'm forced to jump back in riding a Crosscheck (maybe down the road get something lighter).
My question is, I have a Kinesis Crosslight fork hangng around. Would it be worth swapping that fork out with the Surly fork to lighten things up a bit? I think I'll get a more responsive front end too.
Also, what's the tire of choice here in New England? I have Ritchey Speedmax's currently. What is the recommended knobby tire? Will the Ritchey's be sufficient in mud?
Thanks all... Toddre
