Long Distance Competition/Ultracycling, Randonneuring and Endurance Cycling - PBP Website is UP!!

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Just the preliminary information so far ... but to my knowledge this is the first year they've produced any information about the PBP so early!!
If you've got questions about the qualifying events, aerobars, lighting, the route, the start times, etc., they have addressed it in a pdf file on one of the pages. Have a look!!
NOTE: That is just a very, very brief version of what is to follow, if this year is like 2003.

Thanks for the link to the American branch of Randoneuring on your site. The French did not seem to have any links for out of country people but then I can't read French.

Looks like it is still very much a "work in progress" site, scheduled to go live this weekend, and with many pages blank or with information from 2003. There are a couple of interesting changes, like a 21.00 hour start for the 90 hour group.
Here is a link to the English version of the site:

1. Open this website: http://www.audax-club-parisien.com/
2. Scroll down on the left to where it says Paris-Brest-Paris. Click that button.
3. Click "English Version" on the top, left corner of the blue and white page that comes up.
Simple as that!
BTW - if you are planning to ride the PBP, you might want to pick up a bit of French before you go ... it makes the whole experience that much more enjoyable. :)

Yes, it is still a "work in progress" ...... but then the PBP doesn't start for another 13 months or so!!
In 2003, they didn't get the site up and running until a month or two before the event, and it wasn't nearly as good as this site looks already. I'm impressed with this one already!
In 2003, we didn't even start receiving information about the PBP until about February of 2003, and didn't get the bulk of the info till June 2003.
As for the 9pm start time for the 90 hour riders ... that's only an hour earlier than it was in 2003, and if you hang toward the back of the crowd, you'll likely be sent off at 10 pm anyway. :D
