Introductions - Hello, New from Seattle

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Hey everyone, been lurking a couple days and decided to join. Seems to be a lot of information here. I've been mtn biking off and on about 6 months now and love it! I've got a Trek 4500 all stock. Any mods/upgrades I should look into?
Cheers!

Hi montlake_mtbkr, welcome to the forums.
I'm pretty much a road guy so all I can offer regarding mods/upgrades is to check out the mtb threads here; this forum is by far the best on the net for bike info and discussion. :)

Welcome! It looks like you have a perfectly adequate bike, just replace stuff as it breaks.

Yup - that's a good plan Rotifer, because you will be breaking stuff and wearing stuff out sooner than you think! Please don't ask me how I know. :D
