Does anyone have an opinion on Matt Chester frames or any information would be helpful, thinking about getting one.

Thanks,
Gregg

Well, you know he's not making any more at this time, eh? Are you looking at a previously owned frame?

Matt's not building anymore for whatever reason. His speciality was singlespeed and fixed gear, later, 29ers with off-road drop bars. Never seen one in person or ridden one, but people seemed to like them and many could relate to his philosophy.

There are no better frames than Matt Chester's ti fixie 29'ers. The design, philosophy, workmanship, and ride are second to none. Plus Matt is one of the coolest individuals around! Alas he's taking a hiatus from frame building - except for one he's doing for himself and maybe a "very" close friend or two. Putting out an all-points-bulletin might locate some owners, but I can't imagine any of them wanting to sell. Good luck, though!

Bought one from a friend, but I am looking to contact Matt. His web page only gives mailing address, I was wondering if there is any other way to contact him.

Thanks,
Gregg

Here's my Matt Chester Ute. Custom sized, 26" wheel single speed.

My geared MTB literally collects dust in my garage because the MC is so fun to ride.

I do not own one (bummer) but Matt's bikes are beautiful and ride great.
