Hi guys. Not sure if anyone here can help me out. I own a Redline RL20a that has been collecting dust for the better part of 16 years. I took it out and fixed it up a couple of years ago and rode it a few times. I'm thinking about selling it to someone who has room for it and can appreciate it. I'm not looking to sell it on this forum, just looking for info. Attached is a picture of a similar bike. Mine has 48 spoke rims. Can anyone tell me the exact year of this model. Any idea how much these are worth? I found an old ebay auction for just the frame that went for over $200. Any ideas?

Your tires are flat. The chain is rusted.
A complete RL20a should sell for about $200 in good condition. The frameset you saw was most likely an RL20 or RL20II and not an RL20a, as the RL20a is Trimoly instead of full 4130. Still a cool bike, but if you're hoping to retire, sorry to disappoint you. I know the one above isn't yours, but in that condition it's worth $150 tops, and that's if it's mostly original still. Check out www.vintagebmx.com and www.os-bmx.com as well.

Thanks Paul. I wasn't thinking I could retire by selling the bike...;-) I think I'm gonna post it on craigslist and I didn't want to kick myself for listing a price that was way too low. Mine is in better shape than the bike pictured in some ways....worse shape in others. I figure I'll post it for $150-200 and see what happens. Can anyone confirm the year on this model?
As for this being a recurring post, sorry about that. I did some searches and didn't find anything.
If we didn't have the same topic posted mutiple times what would we do with the time on our hands.
