Forum Suggestions & User Assistance - Hey JoeGardner, could it bepossible to a parts or equipment forum?

Been Starting to see more people ask questions on parts in the main sections of some forums, especially the Mountain Bike Forum. Could it be possible to create a parts/equipment forum or at least a sub forum?

Isn't that what the "bicycling mechanics" forum is?

No, more of a "Does anyone use a "X" brand wheel?", or "Anyone familiar with "Y" type headset" type forum.

I think it's a good idea.

I consider the Mechanics forum to be more of a "How do you fix an "X" brand wheel?"

Should we make it a main forum? Feel free to come up with a short forum name and description, i'll add it to the list.

Gear and Componentry

Looking at a new wheelset? Is that wicked deal on the latest crankset worth it? Which tire will roll fastest in your area? Road or mountain or anything in between-this is the place to find out.


That sound good Joe? Just trying to think of some names off the top of my head. I'm in favor of this section in the forums as well, no matter what its called.

almost like a product review section of the forums? I think it would be a good idea.

I am still not sure if i want to add this... Mixing the different types of cycling into one forum is messy.. Would it not be better to keep parts and equipment posts in there mother forum (mtn bike part questions in the mtn bike forum?).

Maybe i need to do a better job keeping part and equipment posts out of the mechanics forum?

That's fine, it doesn't really need it afterall.
