Mountain Biking - Siu Is Turning To The Light Side!!

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
She's telling me how she loves this fugly commuter bike and how she wants to buy it. She also told me not to tell anyone.

LET THE BASHING BEGIN!!
Don't tell her I spoiled the surprise, but it's a belated birthday present for you.
I wanted to contribute, so I got you a nice pair of long tights, and a pink jersey..you'll look SO handsome! :)
For me or her? she is a pretty handsome young lady :)
For you! Or would you prefer a lime green jersey? I was thinking the pink would set off the red color of the bike....
Me? My road bike is turquoise, and I like to wear a silver full-body tight set from Moschino...just need a pair of winged silver bike shoes to complete the look!

my friend almost got that over an 05 fsrxc comp...
but yeah... i like it too... it looks nice. are those avids?
but if i were to get a skinny-tire bike i'd go with something more racy, like an allez or trek 2300.

Lime green with pink stripes, I'll go for that. Chicks love the whole gay look :)

But somehow I turned out nearly normal. (Well, some will debate that.)
BTW, diggin' the stoppers on that bike, Siu.

So?
the portland is really overpriced.
siu should build a fixie conversion.
so.. what?
So you started a thread just to bash a bike that someone likes, and doesn't even own.
I kind of like it actually.
I like it too but I also think it's a bit pricey. I like the fork a lot. I think I'd lean more towards the Specialized Tricross or the Kona Jake the Snake however.

Nope, started a thread not to bash anyone or anything. Just a joke, she dared me to do it. I don't even care if she gets a road bike, I already own one. Any road bashing I do is just in good fun.
She also told me not to tell anyone.

Were you joking then or now?

Are you stupid or did someone hit you in the head with a rock. THE THREAD WAS A JOKE. Meaning, the op was a JOKE. Man you are dense.
For the record, Pheard, thanks for the thread. Shucks, it's FRIDAY!! Needed something lighthearted to pull me thru 'til 5.

Dude, let it go. They're friends.
I like it. Commuter bikes are excellent for around town, and well...commuting.

mcoine just chill, the thread is a joke, not a bash to anyone, Pheard is acquainted to Siu.
If I got a roadie, I really like the track bike trek makes.

I kinda like it.
I'd prefer a more CX oriented bike vs. one targeted for commuters.
I'm diggin my Bianchi Axis.

Road bikes make great cross training rides.
Or it sucks you in and it becomes your primary ride. Which is my case.

I have and always will consider buying one. It makes sense...if I ever do I don't know if I would advertise, but seriously, they make sense for training.

Maelstrom, I know you are not an American, but here you are innocent, until there is proof of guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. The UCI is a puppet of the French media. F-the UCI and the Frenchey media.

Yes, my roadie needs a new seat some tires and some handle bar tape. I can't ride it with the wide gel seat from off my mothers bike. I want to be a god in both!! muahhaha!!

Haha...no innocence...I believe I worded that right but simply put I don't believe any pro athlete is clean...period. (and yes that refers to any sport, football, lacrosse, any sport where anabolic recovery is needed)
The french are acting like whiny girls...simply because they know everyone they support does it as well. Doping is a part of sport.
Speaking from some degree of experience, the testing methods are ALWAYS 9 to 12 months behind the drug. There will never be proof anyone dopes, unless their dealers are really supid supplying them with outdated masking agents.

I think "Le Tour" was raced clean . The Pansies in France are just pissed that they can't win anything other than 1 or 2 stages in the tour. Next year I'll put my money on Tyler Hamilton . Call me a "Homer" but he's my boy. The 2nd blood sample was frozen, No Proof and you still get banned for 2 years?! F-the UCI and their testing.
