My advice to them is to learn to hop before you do stair sets.

Honestly, it's decent riding, but it's not that great.. I've only been riding a little over two months and I'm better than all of them, easily.. but then again, I won't be riding for a while now that my leg is broken in three places...

It was pretty long. The riding was alright, not pro rider class but you already know that, and kudos for making the effort to make the video.

The only decent things were the feebles. But I guess it comes down to as long as you have fun I guess.

Keep up the good work. but wear some freakin protection man. At the level you're at now you probably don't need it. But when you start to air out of that halfpipe you definately will. I've broken bones 3 times now, all BMX. leg, elbow, and collarbone. Yeah, it comes with the turf, no big deal. the only reason I complain is because I want to be on my bike!
Good soundtrack. and definately cool that you found a chicadee bmxer.

Ow. Broken legs suck.
Dustin07
08-01-06, 02:17 PM
but at least you can ride with a leg cast! with the collar bone... can't risk moving the clavicle at all! plus two surgeries... one to put the metal plate in.. one to pull it back out :(
FitRider 921
08-01-06, 02:19 PM
You can't ride if you have a full leg cast like I do... and three broken bones in there too...

I just got it a few days ago and I will have it for two months... I need to get surgery on friday to put a pin in because I have cartilage floating around, and maybe a rod too.

Going really fast and trying to hop manual down a long grassy hill.

pretty good for being new but, it's realy not that hard to grind benches with both pegs ;)

Feebles let you roll faster, and I think they look a little better than double pegs on ledges.

I agree, they are more fun on rough stuff too, and easyer. Better for going super fast.
FitRider 921

I like double pegs because most people do feebles and it gets really boring after a while... so I like to change it up with some double pegs, and I'll do some smiths when I finally learn them... which won't be for a few months due to my injury.

i can double peg aswell as feeble but thats only recently i learned them. ive been trying icepicks but there pretty hard!
FitRider 921
08-02-06, 08:06 AM
Yeah, icepicks are pretty difficult... most of the time you land in a feeble, or a double peg.

wow ive never been over here to the bmx section. I used to ride back in the day and that video reminds me of when i was like 12. I probably couldnt do any better now though. Im pretty sure i could do those stairs with alittle bit more style than that though. I need to get out the old Haro and make sure Roadbiking hasnt screwed me up completely.

BMX has stepped up considerably in the last years. Now to be consider ok you need to be able to tail whip and 360.

jesus, i rode for years without ever coming close to a tailwhip, 360 i could land on certain jumps nothing big though.
