My Cannondale T2000 arrived today, and I'm happy to say that I'm pleased to bits with it! Put 40 miles on the clock just riding around my local county already. It rides like a dream. Thanks again for the advice you gave a couple of weeks ago. I'll keep you updated on how I'm getting on and hopefully I'll be able to give back some of the wisdom that others have imparted to me.

There are two things I'm a bit unsure about, however:

1. The auxiliary brake levers - the Cannondale ones supplied feel a bit cheap and tacky. I'd like to replace them with something stronger. What would you recommend?

2. The Brooks Team Professional saddle. It's really uncomfortable at the moment, and feels about as hard as plastic. Does this improve much after breaking it in somewhat?

Any help would be really appreciated.

Steve.

I can't speak for that specific saddle, but generally Brooks saddles soften up and you get used to them quite quickly. I wouldn't tour without my b-17.

I found my brooks saddle to be comfortable from the first ride and I have had trouble finding a comfy saddle prior to that.
