I was tooling around tonight with a Reloader (granted on someone else's bike). Good stuff; the engagement on it wasn't too tight, or too loose.

my friend is getting a freecoaster this weekend. should be fun to watch him try and fail rollbacking! i said that if he doesnt learn to rollback in a week, im allowed to slap him. he in turn agreed.

i'd like to get one of the KHe freecoasters, just to have a go at something new. the specs look ace too.

Ive heard terrible things about the odyssey freecoaster. either get the KHE or go with the Nanaki. People have always been satisfied with those.

my reloader has been flawless aside from one broken spring.

I got it second hand and have used pegs on it a lot.

its solid, decently smooth, and reliable.

the people that ***** about it never took the time to maintinence it... lazy ****s.

i want a geisha though. the reloaders only downfall for me is weight. its a heavy *****

I heard that the reloader was a very unreliable hub, and they required LOTS of maintenance. But that may have been the old style. I havent heard much about their new hubs.

the new one requires the adjustment of spacers, and cleaning out a lot of the grease, then its bond.

what is a freecoaster hub

It allows your rear wheel to spin backwards freely, without the cranks turning backwards as well, so you don't have to pedal backwards when you are rolling fakie.

pros: dont have to pedal backwards while doing a roll back

cons: kinda expencive, plus they need alot of maintaces. There heavy as hell

some people, me in particular, prefer the feel of pedaling when i rollback because it helps me keep my balance. thats why im not much of a fan of freecoasters

freecoasters are fun if u dont mind the gap when u pedal.
