any reccomendation on what type of recycled tube to use for steering column extension on 2 or 3 frame tall bike? i'm going mens road frame bottom to womens mtb top. just staking them on top, welding top frame BB to bottom frame/seatpost
can i use the top tube from a road bike or something? im not in a position to pay for anything

quarter-inch gas pipe will sleeve down inside your steer tube if you're lucky.
Skip the middle headset entirely and add supports elsewhere. Only the top and bottom cones need be aligned!

the bike has been assembled and it works and rides just fine. i'm just trying to get a chain set up that doesn't require the derailer... since the chain goes verticle now the drop outs dont help if i go single speed/fixed. would a coaster brake work with a derailler?
ill post finished product when i can.

Put the BB back in the bottom bike.Run a double sprocket on both BBs,run a chain around both large sprockets, run a regular derailer on rear to small sprocket at the bottom BB.(tandem bike chain type set-up)
