Mountain Biking - Speed V saddle review and pump question

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Thanks to PeterG1185 for mentioning the Speed V saddle a couple weeks ago, i bought one and did my 1st ride with it today. It was my hardest ride so far, all fire roads, and the 1st 4 miles was almost all of the "hard-to-keep-the-front-wheel-on-the-ground" variety. Steep steep steep ! Lowest gear for a large part of that. Then another 4-5 miles that was more typical stuuf. Finally 4-5 mile downhill to the streets and then 3 miles on the streets to get home.
While it was the hardest ride so far (i'm new to this and sure i'll be doing harder stuff soon) my a$$ wasn't sore at all till the last few miles, and even then it wasn't uncomfortable. My specialized seat would torture me from mile 1 and get progressivly worse till all i could think about was how sore i was. The Speed V cost me $24.......worth every penny and then some. And it's not at all big and bulky. I can honestly say it didn't inhibit me in the slightest compared to the specialized. I'm sure some of you hardcore racer types would notice a difference in that regard, but i didn't. Highly recommended !
Now a question........are there any pumps that will work on both tires and shocks? Right now i have a Blackburn AS-1 Air stik, but i'd really like to be able to have just one pump for both purposes. I suppose the pressure difference between shocks and tires probably makes this an impossibility, but i had to ask.
Thanks......

The link below will take you to a shop that carries a pump made by X-Fusion. It works on presta, schrader and can be used for your shock. I have been using one now for 2 tears with no complaints.
Elemental Bikes (http://www.elementalbikes.com/)
One other thing, it's max inflate is 300 psi.
Thanks. I can't seem to find any info about the price or ordering tho. Any ideas?
Hmmm.......on second thought, it doesn't have a gauge, and i think it should have one if you're gonna inflate shocks especially.

Should heve told ya, you need to by the guage seperatly. I paid 25 bucks for the pump and guage. SuperGo.com used to sell them but I do not know if they carry them any more. The prob with Elemental is you need to call them or email them to get prices or order any thing.
You could try and contact X-fusion directly.

Theres a supergo somewhat near me. I'll wait till i go there. Thanks

That's sweet to see you enjoy that WTB Sadddle Dazco! I new they were good when i rode one on a Fisher 29'er in a race and it didnt take any time to get set with at all.
BTW how are you liking the bike now?
Peter,
I like it a lot ! At first i was thinking i maybe should have bought something cheaper........maybe $500. But i'm starting to appriciate how well it does what it does and how well it's made. And i love the way it rides on the street believe it or not !! I do ride the street for exersize too, and bought the bike for double duty figuring it'll at least be acceptable for street riding. But it turns out i like it more than my street bike. And i'm also starting like MTB'ing more than i thought i would. I bought it for exersise, but i didn't know if i'd keep it up as far as dirt riding. But i seem to be getting sorta addicted. :D

HA! you got "The Bug". Once you get it'll hopefully never go away. MTB'ing is good for health, soul, and mental sanity as i have found out. I got "the bug" early when i was about 12 after my older bro got a trek 6500 and thought it'd be cool to try. I was the only kid in 6th grade saying that i mountainbike. The Bug is a very powerfull thing once someone is infected. The best part about riding for me is being out and challenging myself to go faster and being bymyself on a trail that i know in the woods, all by myself.
The FSR is a very sweet design, mine is awesome and the nice thing is the design is so proven it will never loose it's intergity because it's been around so long. I bet you're glad you didnt get that fat person's saddle now!? That one you were looking at was HUGE and probably weighed about 2 lbs too
Have fun and keep riding

Is that this pump? -> http://www.bikebiz.com/static/images/news/24111/4103_pump1.jpg
I just bought one - new but without any packaging or instructions and I can't see how to use it on a presta valve. Do I need a separate adaptor? Or does something screw off and turn round?
Thanks a lot for any advice you can give me.
