Hi all

After all the usefull advice i got from everyone here concerning cranks i am sold for the Raceface Prodigy XC ISIS. However i read all the reviews for RF bottom brackets on mtbr.com and all of them had serious complains on the quality of these ,even for the signature series everyone had problems (bearing quality?).
Anyway in the begining i thought of getting RF Evolve FR. But now after reading all the crap reviews i am reconsidering.
Any advices on a durable BB which will fit perfectly with the Prodigy cranks? RF? FSA ultimax extreme pro?

Thanks,

BB is one place not to scrimp. They are pricey but the Truvativ ISIS drive's are good. The one I'm using now has been going strong for over a year. Just make sure you get the correct size/ length.

As far as I know all ISIS drive's are the same on the splines. I think ISIS is one spilne standard, and Shimano also has their own spline standard.

if you want a good BB...

get a Truvativ Isis DH BB, and slap some Truvativ Holzfeller's on there.

Absolutely bomb-proof.

7005-series Alum. Alloy cranks, cold-forged BB..

it's some strong stuff.

I've taken several large jumps & drops on my BH Comp w/ this combo and it always comes back for more.

Bomb proof eh? I broke that truvativ bb in 2 days after getting my bike. I had ridden the raceface for 9 months with no issues. :)

Just a random thought, but Chris King is supposedly going to be making splined BB's sometime soon.

Schnell...

thats cool. I would hate to see the price tag. I have tried to justify a purchase of chris king anything and just can't do it. 600$ for one hub in canadian funds...I could buy so much more with that. Would be a sweet bb though :)

Evolve FR...I may upgrade later to something even burlier...but I am 100% sure it will be raceface.
