Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

So this morning i go to check my hotmail to delete the usuall 15 or 20 spam i got all night............but this time there are also about 20 or 30 postmaster Delivery Status Notification (Failure). In case you didnt know those are the emails you get when you send a message to an incorrect email.
but the funny thing is.....i didnt send the emails. I opened one up and apparently i sent out quite a bit of emails advertising "Hoodia Weight loss" from my address.
How is this possible...and...Is there anything i can do?!!?? someone help me!

Someone in your address book is probably infected by aome sort of trojan horse virus or something. Those emails are probably being sent from that computer using your email address (and everyone else in their address book). I just had that happen to me and contacted my server. I changed my email password and was told it would just run its course and then stop. It is harmless but quite annoying.
I hope that helps.

The best way to fix that is to change your address. Put a digit in there someplace. Or something.

That's an old spammers trick. just delete them and change your password to something that has numbers, lower case letters and upper case letters and maybe a strange character like _ or $

You'll have the same problem, just in 3-9 months depending upon where you use your e-mail address. It's not bs that's specific to any real mail provider although arguably Hotmail could use better spam filtering..

damn you logic
The spam did not necessarily originate from your hotmail account. The spammer may have simply put your address in the "From:" -field when sending out the e-mails, and that's why you're getting all the failure notifications. Happened to me once. But you might want to check your computer for spyware, backdoors etc just to make sure.
