Books, Movies, Music & Entertainment - Biggest tool in the history of music

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Well, guys who are complete tools who are hugely successful and who's ability is respected by critics are completely different than those who are at best, marginally talented and maybe had a hit song or two who think they are God's gift to the universe. This is why when I think of tool, I think of some idiot like Robbie Williams instead of Prince, (who in my opinion is one of the greatest performers and songwriters in rock history, despite the fact he knows it.)
Tools:
Robbie Williams
er, actually, just thinking of Robbie Williams infuriates me so much I can't think of anything else. Sorry, maybe I'll come back later.
Oh, and I like Simon LeBon.

GG's awesome. GG is such a major tool that he comes around full circle to cool again. I saw a video of him doing spoken word and this chick from the audience jumped up and got into his face, so he pulls out a cigarette lighter and lights her hair on fire. "Tool" doesn't cover it, man.

You're right, tool doesn't cover it. He belongs in the 'complete looney and moron' thread.

This is +1million. Where i'm from, you either love them or want 5 minutes alone & a shovel. I personally consider them the cancer of Alberta:mad:  go back to Hanna & farm, you idiots
nope, alberta is far too close for my liking, send them to Nunavut.
I've always found Gene Simmons to be a bit of a tool, but i like his show on A&E
but i think Lars Ulrich wins the title... he is a massive ******bag.. maralyn manson too...

Glad to see a fellow nickelback hater:beer: ...as for gene simmons, he's a horrible example of a musician(kiss? gimme a break.)...lars, yep, he's a tool, but can play a decent drum...I saw marylin manson once in Vancouver at a spoken word, he's actually very smart. He basically admitted his act was just that, an act. This guy had a lot to say, it was interesting. I found myself having a little more respect for him after that.

+1
I respect the guy. He likes to piss-off people who take him too seriously and are a little too uptight. What's wrong with that? Isn't that what rock and roll is about?
been reading "Shakey", Neil Young's Bio... apparently Stephen Stills was (is) a pretty big tool.
I agree with Axl Rose, though.
Dylan was a tool. genius, but a tool.

Robert Plant------- Jim Morrison-------- Jimi hendrix- also any one of the Beatles during the late sixties, early seventies. Have to agree with the earlier post though '' Jerry Lee'' is going to be hard to beat!!!!!!!!!

If she's kooky, it's completely by design.
She's a calculating, pretentious, money maker in my book.

Wow Brillig...Im surprised. I think she is pretty intense for that genre, live.
Not Ani DeFranco intense, but waaay above the average. Hmmmmm........
After torturing myself with about 15 minutes of this soap opera rock band(?)
show last nite, I would say a whole tool box could be made from the band
known as SuperNova.

I agree, not only is Natalie Maines hot and talented, she's brave and strong!
The longest running tool of all has to be Rod Stewart, now he is spewing out lounge classics with that half man/half pig squeel voice of his. Sorry to even bring up his name, but he IS a tool!

What a lame thread.
This Guy (http://www.laoujepars.com/index.php?lang=1) just posted his debut album in the Commuter Bike Pics thread. Not the biggest tool in music industry, but defiantly the biggest in the pic thread.

Michael Bolton: No way. Why should I change? He's the one who sucks

Axl Rose is at the top of whatever heap you folks come up with. He is a complete and utter tool. I hope the "new" GnR album that may or may not ever come out fails miserably. How the hell can you call it Guns and Roses when the lead singer is the only original member...and he can't even sing that well anymore. Tool, tool....toolity, tool, tool. He is the king of the tools.
