Make sure you keep them, so you can display them in a jar in your living room or something.

yes they are a blast had them about 20 years ago. they were so small they could not be seen in the dozens of x rays they took.

i have had kidney stones. Try to catch one with a strainer to determine the cause. Also, magnesium and B6 help to hinder the formation of kidney stones. Drink lots of water and cranberry juice. If you encounter another attack (stomach pain with nausea is the initial) buy a 6-pack of beer and flush the system before the stone gets lodged, if possible.

Also good new. It was because of that kidney stone I found out I have diabetes...I started eating better...started riding my bike...lost 50 pounds.

But that's just me.

How big are these stones? Can you set them like a diamond? Do you think kidney stone ear rings would make a good valentine's gift? "I made them, myself."

Ouch! I'm glad you have some good drugs to numb the pain!

My first episode involved transport to Walter Reed Army Medical Center from the Pentagon. The medic in the ambulance offered me a pain shot. I aksed if it would completely get rid of the pain. His response, "Not at all. It will still hurt like hell. You just won't care." He was right. And yes, drugs are good.

They also asked me to find it by peeing into a filter. I was expecting to hear a thud when it hit the filter. After several days they showed my a vial of stones. They were so tiny I told the nurse, "I could have pissed out a thousand of those and missed 'em all." Not true bye the way. Those little specks of sand really block one up good.

My second stone came in the middle of the night. After telling the wife I needed to go to the emergency room, I caught her applying make-up. I told her that if she needed to do that I was going to call an ambulance. Generally, I am not very demonstrative with pain. After I told her that though, she took me seriously.

Oh yeah. When I woke up in Water Reed, I looked up and saw an IV tube with Christmas lights on it routed through a Coors beer can. I really thought I had died and gone to heaven.

My co-worker had a bad case of kidney stones earlier this year. He told us he was peeing blood over the weekend and went to the hospital. We visited him there while his doctor was in the room. His doc explained to all of us that he needed to do a surgical procedure to get the stone out because it was lodged. He would have to slide a tube in through the penis (like a plumber's snake), grab the stone, and pull it out. At the same time, a temporary, plastic stent would need to be put in the urine tube since it was swollen and would close up. After a couple of weeks, my co-worker went back to the doctor and he did the same procedure again - slide a tube in through the penis, grab the stent, and pull it out. :eek: :eek: :eek:

Ummmm, yeah...:eek: I have an appointment with a urologist for 9/13 for potential bladder stones. :(

One of my shooting buddies gets those. He had one just last week. It was so bad that 30 vikes did precisely nothing. He ended up having the dreaded tube down the shaft procedure, again. Correcting your diet is a far better plan than relying on pain killers.
