Hi

I am going to be at Fort Meade Maryland from 9-12 July on business and I desperately need a race during that period as part of my buildup for our New Zealand season (yeh! we race in the winter!!) .

Can any one point me in the right direction in the area. I will have a rental car.

I am a Veteran 2 in NZ -- that's 40-44 year age group and I am aregistered for NZ national racing.

I would prefer something hard and fast but not too long say
30-60 Km in the evening.

Thanks in advance

Paul Casey

Try asking a local racing club, the Chesapeake Wheelmen, at http://www.chesapeakewheelmen.org

There's a crit in Hagerstown, MD on the 11th. It's the senior championship race and would be a bit over an hour's drive from you. Have a look at www.mabra.org for the local racing calendar. cheers!

It's about a 90 minute drive but well worth it, on the 11th is the Iron Hill Twilight Crit. THe only amateur race is a 3/4 then there is a womens and mens pro race. It's held in downtown West Chester and there will be thousands of people lining the streets, even for the 3/4 race. More info can be found here - http://www.ironhilltwilightcriterium.com/ It's a fast and furious race.
