Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. In my experience, they prefer to race in a Time Trial, or if they get in a drag race, it's usually with a cat or a hawk! http://forum.gamestar.de/gspinboard/images/smilies/muhaha.gif

Prices on practically everything go up 20%+, and the government says inflation is less than 5%. There's a whopper for you. Employer says, "you're doing fine", but no raise (again). The rats are whizzing past me like I'm a glacier, and they're on land speeders.

It's a race? No wonder I've been having so much trouble. Hey.....Who moved my cheese?
I decided a long time ago that I wasn't going to race. I'm happy with my life and where I am in life. So, I guess I have won.
You should have bought a squirrel...

Incidently, the Rat Race is a cool multi-discipline adventure competition that includes cycling (http://www.ratraceadventure.com/about.shtml). It's like an urban version of Eco-Challenge.
BTW, I've corrected the thread title.

Neither... Road Course baby, Road Course!]
Oh, and for those of you who didn't get the memo: The rat race is over... the rats won!

It is not rats. It is mice. Have you not read Douglas Adams five voloum trilogy called 'The Hitchhickers guide to the galaxy'?

Excuse me. That should be volume.
Excuse me, it should also be 'quintilogy', trilogy denotes three. Just sayin' ya know :)

That is part of the joke Stacey. He wrote a trilogy and then added two more volumes many years later.

I knew that. Wot, you think, I'm stoopid? Wait, don't answer that! :)

They will drag race but they seem to resent wearing those cute little gowns and stick-on tiaras. Slows the little rodents down too.
Only roof rats engage in such activity. They're English, ya know ;)

Yeah, I won. Because I don't care. And Mr Termite, I moved it. A previous CEO actually handed out copies as our Christmas bonus one year instead of cash. Blah.

When I get my 40 acres of unmolested land and a gun, I will have won.

I'm more than capable of getting out of NJ on my own, right now it's just a matter of family and friends keeping me here.

I have a board game called "Rat Race". I have one at that game a couple of times. Does that count?

Speaking of which, I finally found out why NYC residents are so ticked off all the time.....
They finally see the light at the end of the Tunnel and it turns out to be NJ!http://msnemoticons4u.com/cartoons/bert_2.gif

Takes someone from Indiana to repeat a joke you haven't heard since you were 8.

It' still funny!
Though I guess it only works for the Lincoln or Holland tunnels. If the Downtown resident finally saw the light at the end of the BBT or QMT, it would be Brooklyn or Queens. Which, I guess, still makes the joke funny. :D

Just when you think you have the rat race won, one of the rats start taking EPO....

Don't forget the PATH tubes and the NE Corridor Mainline tunnel. But then the joke would be they'd see the light and think it was New Jersey until they realized it was a train. Not funny.
In barely related trivia, Isambard Kingdom Brunel, a remarkable English engineer of the nineteenth century is said to have engineered a tunnel on the Great Western Railway at such a pitch and angle that the sun shone directly through it on his birthday. That's what they say, whoever they are. I haven't even seen the tunnel.

I thought Testosterone was the new EPO
