Does anyone know the significance of the spelling of the name Megadeth? Why did they leave the a out if they meant death? Or did they mean something entirely different?

Just to point out in case somebody didn't know, the definition of one "megadeath" is one million deaths in a nuclear war. Why they mispelled the word is a mystery to me.

Maybe because Dave spent more time practicing guitar in high school than he spent in English class. Just a guess.

Dave thought it looked better, and more snappy without the 'A'...

Which only goes to show pretty much everything he's made a stand on has been insufficiently thought through.
