While riding with my stoker the other day we were on the tail end of a 20 mile ride and my stoker was in a zone or something not paying attention to the surroundings.

We came upon some pedestrians and I gave the familiar "hello" greeting as we passed. My poor stoker, who had been battling gas all ride gave them a "toot".

We are still laughing over that one.

I guess I need to call out pedestrians alerts along with the bumps and shift changes.

Stoker could be called the 'afterburner' in that case . . .

As rjberner's stoker, I'll second that.
