Hello to everyone! I'm new to the mtb world and am so excited to be a part of it. I'm 24 years old and love anything in the great outdoors that's why I've decided to pick up mtb. For fun I enjoy camping, bodyboarding, snowboarding, swimming, basically anything and everything in the great outdoors. I live in the OC in Southern California so for everyone in the area, let's ride!

welcome to the board...the best advise i could give you is buy some knee/shin guards and elbow guards...some people might talk **** about your added level of protection but you'll thank me later...ebay has some great deals...you can get a good setup for about 50 bucks...good luck

Great place to ride! What bike did you end up getting? I've been riding mtb. for many years and only last year picked up my first real road bike. Now I can't decide between a touring bike and a singlespeed/fixie. It's all good.

I purchased a 2007 Specialized Rockhopper Comp Disc in silver. It'll be ready for pickup next Monday, can't wait!
