Foo - The Age Poll

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Don't be shy! Post your age! I'm turning 22 next month assuming I don't get run down by stupid tourists in the meantime.
41 years on my ticker, but only three years on my festivus pole
23, but I feel somewhere around 94 today...I blame it on Buffalo.

I turned 40 in June but as far as I'm concerned it's just a number. I'm in the best shape of my life; I'm having the most fun I've ever had; and, I can afford the toys I want and am healthy enough to enjoy them! :)

What praytell is this bennie? A native species to exotic Jersey? Mayhaps a distant relative to the North African swallow?

I'm on the cusp of your age limits....so not sure what to choose. I'm in one group right this minute, but move into the next group up, next month.

2 1/2 months left until mid life crisis sets in. I told myself by the time I was 40 I would have a Porsche and I am looking for one now. I just don't know if I will be able to afford driving it.. :)

If you're on the edge, pick whichever group you'd rather take! I just noticed people who are 65 are going to have trouble with my divisions since there's overlap.
A random FYI: the reason I left such a wide gap in the 40s is because my parents were in their forties during my teenage years, and the whole time they seemed to stay the same age. When I moved out they started seeming a little older, so that's where I put the next bracket.
It's comforting to hear that people can be middle-aged and still be in great shape. I want to be that way too... seeing my obese relatives with all sorts of blood and heart problems serves as good motivation!

Old enough to know better, too young to care.
Blondie, you're gonna go to hell for lying like that...but when you finally do hit 30 (in what, 4 or 5 years?) you'll have gained that wisdom. :p

But I thought Rocky Mountain girls all drove pickup trucks with a broom, a shovel, and a big dog in the bed. I spent a day loading hay with one of those girls up in North Park in Colorado back in the summer of 86. I have never seen anyone work that hard in all my life.

OK I dared myself to let go of marathons and try and do duathlons by 40, I did it!
I dared to try and pass every single young male cyclers, for the exception of 2, I did it.. yes I did quickly take a right turn a mile later because I sure wouldnt be able to keep this stress level for too long:p , but I did do it!
I swore I still would kick ass at 40, and I came in 4th place over all of any woman, any age, in a running race
So as far as Im concern, if you dont expect me to have mastered the art of cooking by 40 or being a good house keeper... Id say Im doing pretty good for my age. 40 is the new 30!!!

Get thee a 356! (http://www.356registry.org/Members)
Easily the classiest of all Porsches. And that's fact, not opinion.
Affordable? Very, if you don't mind driving a kit. Nobody but a Porsche geek will know...

:roflmao: That was 25 years ago for me! I'm more of an urban Rocky Mountain girl now, but dream of a day when I can return to my rural roots. If I win the lottery, I'm going to buy a 100 acre spread in the foothills backing onto Crown land with unlimited access to mountain biking trails and horseback riding trails with some trail running thrown in for good measure. :D
