Hey Everyone-
I'm a roadie and have been riding/racing for about 3 years. ;I never really thought about getting into mountain biking, primarily because I was in college and couldn't afford a bike. Today at work (graduated in May, been working for 2 weeks) my office took the afternoon off and went mountain biking. It was AWESOME! The hills were great, the rocks were big, the workout was killer, and the seesaw was a rush. Now, I'm hooked. The rental bike I got was a full suspension Klein with disk brakes and all the good stuff. I know very little about what's available/good/etc. in the mountain bike area so can you guys point me to some good research? Thanks, and I can't wait to get on the trail again!

Did you try a shore trail? I think you might need to give us a little more info, because the post is a little vague. But, there are a few beginner bikes you can check out that are priced fairly decently.

See the Specialized Hardrock and Rockhopper series, as well as the Trek 4*00 series. You might also be interested in Norco bikes if you're a canadian.

The trails we went on were at White Clay Creek State Park near Wilmington DE. Mountainous, rocky, rooty, and pretty challenging. There's a few other parks in the area for mountain biking that require varying levels of skill that i'd like to try out as well. The skills course we went on had narrow bridges and fun stuff like that

You can't go wrong with the hardrock and the 43-4900 bikes. IMO
