I have a Giant Quasar with a suntour accushift 1500 rear derailluer. When shifting into the largest rear sprocket, the chain gets caught up in the upper derailleur pulley. It still shifts into gear, but it is delayed and makes a rubbing noise. The chain is kind of out of alignment with the teeth on the pulley. It does the same going down from the highest sprocket to the next. any ideas?
thanks in advance
Is the chain on the large front sprocket when this happens? If so, you may be 'cross chaining'.This will cause chain line noise, and if let go could cause wear. Try shifting to one of the smaller gears up front and see if the problem goes away. Let us know what happens.
