:D I am new to this particular forum, but see that the people in here appear to be intelligent, sensible bikers. Oh...excuse that oxymoron! :) Seriously, I've just acquired a mountain bike and intend, at this point anyway, to enter some races.

Welcome, Gunnargal! I'm closeby, in Spokane. I'm sure you'll enjoy the forums-lots of nice folks with great tips and ideas. Hopefully, you guys in Walla Walla are getting better biking weather than we are. Can't wait for spring and some warm dry days.

Thank you slotibartfast. Yes, our weather is pretty darned nice right now. but today is supposed to be windy. Spring is just around the corner, thank God.
