- just got mine today... dunno if this issue will be a classic or not, but i do have to wonder how the editorial staff and advertisers feel about the Landis-centric content? (an otherwise excellent read as usual, btw)...

Yep, I wondered the same thing. It sort of makes one rethink his subscription considering the lack of timeliness and the huge annual fee. I knew that lead times for magazines were extreme, but *Whew!*, we should get a rebate for that issue. :)

I liked the I Shares CEO saying that the drug scandal didn't effect their desire to sponsor cycling.
The whole issue has the "Dewey Wins" feel to it.

On the lag time issue, Velonews has got to reconsider its focus for the Magazine. I rarely read the race reports anyway, because they're not timely. I read it for features like what equipment they used, the cloumns, historical pieces, training tips. If they want to survive I think they need more of that, and less line by line accounts of how the race went.

Without a doubt, this one is a keeper. I have the cover with the tour winner mounted in my rec room for the last 10 years. That's alot of Lance. I will put this one up too, and right next to it, the one with
Pereiro on the cover of some magazine, as champion.
