I love bikes, I love boats, and am heavily interested in bents... so got to wondering if there were such a thing as "recumbent boats". Well, after a bit of googling I was surprised to find some and figured that someone here might be interested as well. Two of the most interesting looking ones...

Has anyone here ever tried one? I'd love to hear about it!

Yeah, rented one on a lake with my sister and mom.

Pretty fun, good for putsing around although I can easily see em drifting off in any sort of current.

Hobie, better known for making catamarans, also makes pedal-powered kayaks. Their models have an unusual drive system, which I'm told is pretty efficient. I've seen them in stores, but not in the water anywhere.

I use to have one. They don't go very fast and aren't the most efficent things around.
