- 'site engine' generally refers to the httpd daemon used on the platform OS (Apache here)

- the forum bbs software is common and may be found in many places (although nearly all patch and customize)

- the reason no spam msgs are found is due to the vigilence of members, moderator, and admin - all sites are vulnerable in this regard...
