Jesus! I can't deal with stuff like this. I would probably hijack the nearest car and get the hell out of whatever crazy scandinavian country that happened in. The closest thing to this I experienced was when spider mites infested our indoor garden and covered some of the plants with similar webbing. It was a sad event and that season's plants never recovered.
all you need is keyboard duster and zippo lighters and I could have all that **** gone in a day, of course I would need 600 cans of keyboard duster, but i could do it.
they're just caterpillars, jeez.

Millions upon millions of them! At first I was like "Oh, look. A tree in front of a housing complex." After scrolling down I got a wee bit grossed out! Ewwwww!

Bird-cherry Ermine (Yponomeuta evonymella (http://www.ukmoths.org.uk/show.php?id=388) ) invaded most of scandinavia this year, the trees around my house were full of the larvae. Now we have gazillions of little white moths flapping arund insted. They only survive on the bird-cherries, the ones who settle on other trees die. No real damage done to the trees, new leafs come out when the larvae pupate.

at first i was thinking "jeeze, what kind of weirdo took a hundred pictures of some stupid tree."
it's a little gross, but c'mon, they're caterpillars (not maggots, such as the ones we had in all our food at the last place i lived in...)

you'd think the birds would be having a feast on all those succulent, fat little vittles. are there no birds in finland? maybe those larva can be used for something, like tequila worms...
Yeah, that **** is gross.

Same thing happened here about two months ago. The trees recovered and there is no trace of them now. I'd come in from lunch and have to brush them off of me.
omfg if i found my bike overtaken by caterpillars i'd have a lifelong vendetta :(
yeah that was the creepiest thing i have seen in months!
