Welcome to Bike Forums, Alan!

There are folks of all levels of interest and ability who lurk about here. I've only been a member for about a month. There is lots of good information to be had here, and a nice spirit of camraderie.

Welcome to BF....tell us a little about yourself and your interests.

There are a lot of us "recreational riders" on this board. In fact, last year we had a discussion about a forum just for us. Joe said yes, but it has not yet appeared.

Many Ragbraier's here, but I have never done that. I have done a couple of "Ride the Rockies" - another great ride over Colorado passes.

Anyway, nice folks here. Enjoy.

Recreational, professional, newbie...junkie K-Mart bike, flashy road bike or bike hit freeride machine - it just doesn't matter.

It's all about having fun whenever you happen to be on whatever bike you have...

Welcome fellow recreational rider. I don't ride when it rains either, but I'll ride at night or when it's cold... well... cold for where I live.

Being a 'recreational rider' is like being 'middle class'. It can mean 10 miles a week in the sun all the way up to hundreds of miles through a blizzard. It's safe to say most people here are not sponsored :)
