On this morning's route, I turned down a narrow road by the mall that's seldom used. A barreling truck comes speeding up and at about 5' behind me he lays on the horn that lets out a piercing woman's scream (instead of the regular truck-honk).

I about jumed out of my skin...as he passed laughing, I have him the thumbs up. I'm OK Plus 1 for the cager:(

IF I move out of my current area I might invest in an anoying air horn system for the bike maybe two airhorn canister connected to the handlebars with a button that pushes both for extra loud effect

You might want to find out what your state says about it, and if that kind of horn blasting is illegal, get the license number of the vehicle and report him.

Practical jokes can be a hoot:) esp when no harm is done. One of the funniest was played on us by a motorcyclist. We were powering out of town on a long road ride when a guy on a harley pulls up beside us. He grins. He pedals like mad and lays down the throttle and keeps this up until he is a good distance away. We lost our momentum laughing....

part of my commute goes under a freeway. one day a semi got up behind me and waited until we were both under the over pass to let his horn go. i knew he was there but it still scared the ***** out of me! i, like you, found it quite amusing.

On my way home from work today, I had a BMW with 4 teenagers startle me just a bit when they went by me and the shotgun rider was barking like a dog. They had to stop in the center lane to make a left turn about 100 feet down the road. I just smiled and asked him if "that was his native language?".

We all just cracked up.

The scream was distorted so I knew it was a horn of some sort. What freaked me was the blasted it so close to me as he pased. I tried appear casualto discourage future use...but he was too busy enjoying himself to notice :(

Believe me, I like jokes as much as anyone, and more so than many...but I'll agree with Blue Order on this. That doesn't strike me so much as funny as it does aggressive.

In the same situation the digit extended in my hand gesture would likely not have been my thumb.
