Recumbent - Velocity squared vs Stratus

Has anyone compared the two? What did you think about:
slight length difference (26x20)?
BB height difference?
turning radius in relation to BB/crank position?
Hill starts?
and any other differences you may think of between these two.
I'm new to recumbents. I've ridden the Velocity squared and am going to ride the stratus before deciding. I've read the specs and what reviews I could find. I'm interested in practical opinions here.

Seriously now, no one has ride compared these two bikes??

I've ridden both, and have a Stratus.
I don't suppose it matters much. Sometimes when I'm riding I think it would be nice to tilt back a little more. Other times, I like the position a whole lot.

Speed wise, I think both can be faired and socked. The Stratus seems about on a par with a df, but doesn't climb as well as say a Rocket or VRex (and the VRex & V2 are supposedly very similar speed-wise). Although, to be fair, I never spent much effort trying to unlock the secrets of fast climbing on a Stratus. I suspect practice and light wheels would make a huge difference.

If I was looking for pure speed I suppose the V2 has an edge. But if you're not already riding at 19-20+ mph (stopwatch & mile marker average) that shouldn't be a factor.

If you're looking for the more versatile bike, the Stratus gets the nod. Like the TE, it's been in production since the late 70's. This was the clincher for me. I figured a bike that had been in production for over 20 years had to have something going for it.

Speeds not an issue, but comfort and stability are. I've heard many good things about the stratus. And I agree about the longevity of the Stratus, its definitely a plus. I think the two things that have caught my attention more are the seat angle and the crank height/angle.

Thats the kind of feedback I am looking for.
