Bicycle Mechanics - Probably a stupid question, but....

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Okay, I've got a Spec Expedition with Suntour front shocks.

On the right side of the fork, there is no eyelet (for securing front racks, fenders, etc.)

On the left side there are TWO.

What gives, here? Why are there two eyelets on the left? Do they serve a purpose I'm unaware of?

Or did one just crawl over when nobody was looking?

Oh, okay, thanks....that clears that up. :)

What a relief, I thought maybe one sneaked to the other side for mating purposes, and my bike was soon to be covered in little eyelets.....

A Suntour suspended bike with disc brakes?!?!?! A very scary thought. I would think the flex factor on that fork would prohibit such a thing. No offense intended Inkwolf
