this guy on ebay is selling steel track frames for 200 bucks. supposedly he bought them from "a factory that makes frames for high-end european bike companies" or something like that.
I don't really care if he is lying about all that or not, but does anyone know about these frames? are they worth 200?
check out the listing: http: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=98084&item=150010798980
and it seems he bought a shtload of one size only... why would he do that?

well 200 ucks for that isnt bad price but who knows what the geometry is and u have to pay extra for the fork???? What I would do is gather like 400 bucks and get an old 80's-90's lugged frame from ebay. with a fork and with a lot better finishings than those ones. All the time u find real jewels at ebay. The other thing is that modern track geometries havent changed that much in the last 20 years, what have changed are the materials but basically the bikes are the same. I think u can do better than getting that junk, 200 bucks is too much for a frame w/o fork.

- i'd rather buy from a known source and reputable shop, such as GVH (http://gvhbikes.com/)
- eScam is a cesspool

Try posting this in Singlespeed and Fixed Gear. Im sure someone on the forum would take a look
in person and post about it.

i wasnt actually considering the frame, hes only got one size, and its not mine... i just saw it listed and was curious if anyone knew about em.
if i went for a frame that cheap it would certainly be an IRO or a Spicer, or KHS... more reputable for sure.
I've been riding a fixed conversion for a couple years now, and am looking for a true track frame... its time.
Im thinking between a custom Terraferma lugged steel (extremely low cost for custom frame!), that beautiful EAI Bareknuckle, or the Soma rush...
All depending on how much money I decide i can really invest at this point, haha. College is so fheckin expensive.
