I know there has to be at least a couple of doctors on this forum, so I have a serious question. I banged my head last monday on a light, and it hit right at the very top of my skull, right close towards the back of the head. It didn't really bleed, but left a scab of dried blood. I have noticed a couple of headaches since then, and I don't know if it's a result of this, or the STRESS of worrying about it. Should a CT scan or MRI be done? I'm kinda worried, and want to make sure there's no permanent damage to my skull. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Not a doctor...but as long as you've got insurance, getting a doc to take a look would solve both the worrying problem AND any actual problem. A doc should be able to look and see if a scan is needed. (I've had a few head whacks I was worried about -- including being knocked out -- and the doc was able to say "Nah, go home" for a minimal charge.)

Hope it gets better man -- looks like I'm not the only one who needs to start wearing the helmet even when I'm not riding.
