Hey Rich, are you doing ok? With off road biking prohibited for the time being in England this could be a bad time for you. Other forums users, keep a sharp eye out for signs of "not enough biking" disease in Rich.

:)

Thanks for the concern Fubar!!!

Indeed I am suffering beyond all comprehension, I want to cycle in the woods, gayly hopping over logs, and fluttering with the butterflies...

Is there anything wrong with that!!!

Lets pray this damn thing comes to an end soon, so I can save you lot from my posts!!! *entertaining though they are!

Rich :)

Last I knew, Chris L lived in Queensland, Australia, where they don't so far have foot-and-mouth outbreaks--I hope...

Rich, Hoof n` Mouth is gone here, only the eastside of the country suffered from the trouble.
I live in the west part of Holland, so it didn`t effect my rides.
At the moment al "closed" area`s are open, and happily there is free passage everywhere.

Hold on, it can`t get any worse

I live in Wales, where we are famous for having more sheep than humans, and being thick. I'm lucky I just live here I'm a scouser by upbrining. They've stopped people using trails etc...... advising people to stick to roads, yet they allow farmers to let the sheep wander freely around the road, with no fencing

Scouser--native of Liverpool, right?

(Oh, the convenience of online dictionaries! :) )

It is great for MTBing - but alas I'm a roadie - so it's just damn hard work.

The big problem is that when I don't really fancy going out now I don't bother, because there's too many hills to get anywhere. When I was living in Liverpool I had to travel 30 miles to find a major climb, so even when I didn't fancy a ride I could just go out and spin the pedals with no effort.
