Shimano Rapid Rise RD is the type that sits on the outside (small cog) and moves inward under tension ?
Or am I wrong and Rapid Rise sits on the inside (large cog) and moves out to the smaller cog under tension...

Rapid rise mech sits on the large (easy) cog. Additional cable tension moves it onto the smaller (harder) cogs.
