Hello all:

I have an old Bridgestone MB6 with 26" x 1.5 rims. I currently have 2" knobbies on them. I'd like to switch the tires to something like Contiential Supercontact (slicks). What is ranges of tires that would fit a 26" x 1.5 rim?

Are there any resources on-line that has some kind of table to figure out compatibility?

Thanks.

no reason to ever run anything smaller than a 1.5 inch tire. you could fit probally up to a 2.3 no table needed. panaracer makes great street tires: the pasela. it comes in 1.25, 1.5 and 1.75. they cost about 25 bucks with a kevlar puncture belt, and weigh 300 grams, so theyre lite. i ride them on the road and fire roads, and dirt roads. they wear like iron.

As long as the rim diameter is the same, and the tube size is right, it should work with just about any combination.
