Mountain Biking - Jamis Komodo 3.0?...
Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I havn't heard or seen much about this bike, but for about 1200 bucks it seems like a GREAT deal! Considering I was thinking about spending $500 alone on just a Yeti DJ frame. What do you guys think of it? Anyone ride it before?

the only thing i would be wary of on that bike is the stance flow fork.
i've heard of many stance fork destructions..
other complete bikes in that price range are
the specialized P2 (1100) and the giant STP (1000)
which are both very sweet bikes that i'd take a look at.
Great thanks a lot!
Yeah, I was thinking about getting the 1.0 for around 500, upgrading the fork to a drop off and maybe the wheel set as well. Don't know if it would be worth the money then though.

I'd stay far away from the komodo's if I were you. I've tried a few, and from my own experience, the geometry is terrible. I'm not sure what exactly it was, but I was unable to do the things I'd normally be able to do on a bike. It felt overly long, and so did the chainstays. I think there are far better bikes out there than the komodo.
Thanks for the input!
Maybe I'll stick to the yeti frame. I do already have components n-e-ways.

For the same price, I'd much rather have this:
...even if the frame is a little ugly. It has a great component spec.
