Foo - my first actually race

well today on my way home from roughrider504's house, i wa sin my neighborhood and this swole african american guy was riding a trek 10-speed roadie. He was all dressed like a racer, on my computer it said i was going around 20 si i passed him up, i wasnt to far in front of him when i looked back and he was gaining on me. So i thought we were racing so i pedaled harder and i ended up winning until i had to turn onto my street. I dont know if he was a noob but just imagin a 240lb 15 yr old on a huffy that is a ghetto SS, by this i mean i dont have derailleurs, i have a cassette and i just ran a chain like a SS, ghetto i know. And there was a black guy who probably plays sports riding a 10-speed trek which is way lighter then my bike and i own him:D thought i'd sahre this, feels good:D :D :D

Maby he just didnt want to race? We didnt race the guy in sweatpants on a fiji a coupla days ago, but he was sure pulling off.

Excuse me? That he was gaining on you hardly means he was racing you. There's certainly many other reasons he could have chosen to pick up the pace. And maybe he would have beaten you if only he knew (a) he was supposed to be racing and (b) where the finish line was. Or maybe not. But to call this a race is pretty silly.

And when i went faster he went faster????

oh and btw, just because you race in real life, doesnt mean you have to put ppls happyness down. everyone thinks different, no one is perfect, so do me a favor, kiss my big sweet russian ass.

i dont think any guy would just pick up the pace really quickly and all of the sudden, because i was riding behind him for about 5 mins until i passed him, and then he picked up the pace. And when i went faster he went faster????
I would consider it since it would give me a chance to draft for a while. I would ask permission to draft, but yeah, it would mean picking up the pace because someone happened to pass me. Heck... last weekend, some of us out on a fun ride suddenly picked up the pace because an SUV passed us and we wanted to be in its draft for a while.

By the way, I don't race. And if I did race, I would come in last. I'm not trying to put you down in any way. I'm just pointing out that beating some stranger to some random waypoint doesn't exactly constitute a race.

The more the better to beat you with.

Plus when your 15 and dont have money, thats all i can do, is save up, buy, restore and ride till i get more money, if you guys get affended by that, then thats cool. Because i dont really care i like my bike, it gets me from point A to pouint B without any problems and everything work the way it should work
