Is it possible to keep donating money (any amount) to BF, even efter a red star donation?

yes, do it all the time.
what's really fun is to donate the red star to someone else.

This is a more common request then I expected. You can drop a donation of whatever amount to my paypal acct, all upgraded accts and additional donations go directly to the cost of running the site.

Joe,

Have you considered the following (I don't know if the software supports these)?

Enable searching only for donating members? This could potentially increase number of people donating while limiting searches somewhat.

Or maybe an additional $25 (above red star) for a gold star level that enables searching?

Also, I don't know how much is made by displaying ads, but if I had the ability to turn on ads, I might do so. I would have no problem seeing some ads on my display if it helps out the bottom line.

Oh yea, good idea.
I know on CNCzone they have levels of donations. 25 dollars or something to be a contributing member, and then 50 or more to be a "Gold member". You do get a few extra perks for being gold, but some of these utilize features not on BF.

1. Fairly good idea.

2. That's a bit much.

I think most of the people are not donating. If they were encouraged to donate simply for the search "option" there might just be a lot more donators.
