I just bought a Cannondale M400 from craigslist and I'm wondering how much it's worth?
The frame is in great shape just a few scratches from regular use. The paint still sparkles (thanks to a little polish) Painted the fork and handlebars black. Polished the handle bar stem.
I refurbished the drivetrain wheels, chain, and gears, cleaned them out and lubed everything. Replaced the Shimano STX Rear Deralleur with a used Shimano XT.
Replaced the old cables with new cables, refurbished the shifters (they look great)
Added new seat post and Bontrager Seat and new Bontrager lock grips.
The bike rides smooth.
Money Spent:
$60 for the bike
$15 for new seat
$50 for assorted parts including new 2 XT and LX front deraileurs, XT rear deraileur, seatpost, 2 shifters, brakes and other stuff.
$55 for new grips cables, cable housings, and stradle cables
$20 for lube and other stuff..
Total spent $200
