On hearing this news, he got pale, sat down to gather himself and asked the VP: "OK, Dick, how big a number is a Brazilian? Is it more than a billion?

The irony of this whole situation is that as dumb as people percieve GW to be, the other parties haven't come up with anyone brighter. Scary!

No, No NOOO!!! I was referring to the guy who said he threw them away and then went on to display them in his office proudly to visitors. Same guy who said he machine gunned Vietnamese civilians under orders of the Nixon white house before Nixon was even inaugurated. Heckuva guy that Nixon! Not to worry though, no one could ever corroborate his claim, probably cause it never happened.

Just a little note to this, you do not need to be sent to a hospital to be eligible for a Purple Heart. All it requires is an injury caused by enemy fire that requires treatment- thus my friends who were treated for concussions due to IED explosions are eligible because the Medic treated them (giving them Motrin and told them to sleep for 24 hours)...all without a visit to a hospital.

As for "throwing" them away, and then later displaying them. True, and tasteless. But hey Left or Right, any person with political aspiration can certainly be expected to engage in any manner of sensational action to get attention and votes. The real test of character is when they they do not give in and remain true to their beliefs, convictions, and countrymen.
