i really really wanted to like them. i like the way they look, how light they are, that no one rides them, ect. however, they are like riding on iced golf balls, they clog with mud incredibly easily, easier by far than shimano, and they have soo much float that getting out is a bit of a chore, you have to twist extra far to get out. crank bros blow them away, just be sure to replace cleats often, as many people get these pedals, ride them a year and deem them sloppy. no, just need new cleats

In my eight plus years of using them on a number of road, 'cross, and mountain bikes, I'd recommend them as an excellent road pedal, pretty good 'cross pedal, and OK mtb pedal (The float can be an issue if you're not limber). But I have riding buddies who would, alternately, rate them as excellent in the three categories and others who would say poor in some applications. The point is give them a good try yourself.

Someone on our local club's forum just posted a review for Bebop pedals, pretty detailed and nicely written too: http://cyclingcentralva.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=6455

TY for your experienced input.Although i am a dyed in the wool fan of Frogs for a few years, I was considering Bebops cause i found a set used with an extra set of new cleats for $35 (delivery in progress).
