Mounted my new saddle today. Planning on taking it out for it's first ride tomorrow for my commute. Hoping this will help on my long distance rides. Looks kinda goofy on my carbon bike. Question I have is there doesn't seem to be as much room on the back as my other saddles for my fairly large wedge. What does other people here do for a wedge? Just go with a smaller one? Different bag all together? I am putting a rather large handlebar bag on so maybe this isn't needed as bad anymore.

I got the "pre-softened" model. Guess they quit putting the "pre-softened" on the top of the saddle. Thing is still hard as a damn rock though... Pre-softened my butt.... :-)

For a seat bag, check out Rivendells Banana Bag...nice and fits the Brooks like a glove...

I don't think the Team Pro has loops. I use an old Kirtland large wedge, with a mount system similar to a Carradice Super C. It's straps loop over the saddle rails. It can be sat under any racing saddle, from a Pro to an Alias 135 (ok, now you know my butt size).

My problem with the Pro, is that I can't move it back far enough. I have upper body weight and long femurs, so I like to move my butt back to get in balance to ride easily on the drops. I can move the Specialized back far enough, but not the Pro. I need a frame with a more laid-back seat tube.

Wish I was up to a century this summer, but parents in the hospital puts a crimp in your free time!

I've used both. The rails on the Brooks' (with the exception of the Swallow) seem short.

Woah. Big picture. The new ti railed team pros come with loops. there was rumor that ALL new brooks saddles will come with bag loops. My only problem with the brooks was that the skirts got in the way of the seat clamp. Once i bent the skirts out of the way a bit, i was able to get an extra cm or so.

My new Brooks Team Professional doesn't have loops. From wallbikes site, you can get this adapter though.

Yeah, mine doesn't have loops. I use a standard wedge bag.

Well, this weekend I took my two week old Team Pro out for a couple rides. One was 38 and the other 57. While not any better than my last saddle (E3 Form), it wasn't any worse. I'm hoping with my commuting with it during the week, the break-in period will come quickly. I've got a century coming up in a couple weeks and am hoping that it'll be better by this time. 100 miles is a long time to have a hurting butt...

I know, but since i've got the loops, it seems like a waste to use a wedge that doesn't use the loops. Which is what I'm doing now.

My point basically was that those optional loop adapters (see post #7) are really not necessary to hang bags that claim saddle loops are necessary. Most Carradice bags can be hung from rails although they claim loops are necessary.

If I wanted to use a carradice bag (barley or junior) on my team pro that doesn't have bag loops, will I need to use the bagman rack with it?

I use the SQR mount for my Pendle, each bike has the seatpost block, so the bag can go on whichever bike I am taking out.

I have setback seatposts, old Campy 2-bolt. I think the problem is my tastes are running to needing a small frame (52/53 seat tube) with a 73 degree angle, not 74 or 74.5 as is more normal. I'm either pursuing a really odd position or I have long femurs.
