Mountain Biking - Options for rear wheel replacement

I broke the hub on my Vuelta Airline 3. I cant find a replacement anywhere on the internet. Any suggestions for a wheel? I am 6-4/260lbs and mainly ride in downtown, but we treat it like off road so I need something strong.
I was looking at a set of Mavic X221 on ebay. The tires are 26X2.1, my old ones are 26X1.95. Is that going to matter?
I know I have V-brakes and the rear is a 7sp cassette.

With a 7speed cassette you need to find out what the rear dropout/hub spacing is. The old spacing for 7speed is 130mm, and the new spacing for 8 or 9 speed is 135mm. It could be a 135mm hub with a 7spd and a spacer.

The bike is atleast 4-5 years old. I dont have the wheel any more.

You don't need the wheel, you can just measure the distance between the drop outs.

You don't need a micrometer. You need a tape measure. 130mm is about 5.1". 135mm is 5.3". Or you have a ruler that reads centimeters. Check if the spacing is 13cm or 13.5cm.

Its about 5 3/8 inside distance. I dont really understand what you are talking about 5.1 or 5.3. I have always measured in fractions. Is 5.1 like 5 1/4? Should I measure it with a wheel in place. I took the wheel I have on there off and the rear spread alot.

No, you don't sound stupid. All I did was convert the mm distance to inches represented in decimal.

135mm works out to almost 5 3/8" so it sounds like you have 135mm spacing.

Did you mean that after you took the wheel off that the spacing spread? That means the wheel you have on right now is too narrow and is likely 130mm. So this pretty much confirms you have 135mm spacing. You need to find a wheel built with a 135mm hub.

The guy in the first post mentioned a spacer. Looking at the hub, there does seems to be a "collar" on the left side. Its in between two nuts. On is next to the actuall hub and the other to the left is next to the QR.
So from right to left the center part of the wheel is QRnut, nut, casette, hub, nut, "collar", nut, QR latch.

So I have to find a 135MM hub/wheel?

The other concern would be is it a 7 speed cassette or a 7 speed freewheel.

Kinda hard to determine if you don't know.

Wait, you don't have the wheel anymore anyways. O.k. you can use any of the current crop of wheels sold in most places (www.pricepoint.com has some great deals). You will also need a 7-speed cassette and an aluminum spacer.

You may need to do a little searching to find a 7-speed cassette. I KNOW you can get one from your local bike shop. Most will order through Quality Bike Products. They usually have older Shimano stock.
