Hi all, since the search function seems to be disabled right now, I am posting this information request. Has anyone had any experience with this bike. I find one on craigslist. It includes racks and panniers (f&r) and a handlebar bag. I don't have much other information, but will be seeing it this weekend.

I have a 23 in. that I road from cost to cost. I have size 13 feet so It has toe overlap a-plenty. I go about 225lb., and with a full load it is a bit whippie, I think it would be a great bike for most normal people

I had the rivet that held the head badge on break off inside the head tube. Over the months and years it wore a groove inside the head tube. When I discovered it I was worried enough about frame failure that I got rid of it. I called schwinn and asked about the "lifetime frame warenty" It turns out that what that really means is the lifetime of the company who owns the schwinn name at the time. The new company was unwilling to honor the warenty.
But I really liked the bike and was sad to see it go

Voyageurs are great bikes. Think about how much you'd pay to buy a brand new lugged steel frame with cantilevers, ($1300-$1500, components not included.) Now, how much is that Voyageur for sale for? ;) Old Schwinns rule.
