Introductions - Hi from Wisconsin

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I do not envy you - you have more snow than we do. I love skiing but if there is not enough snow then the cold weather is just a drag. I was biking last March, had 300 miles in before St. Patti's day - I don't think that is going to happen this year. I am a bit of a fair weather biker. So what do they mean by 112 more miles to go?

:) Yea the snow is great. As for the 112 more miles its something a fellow rider said to me after riding 112 miles in less than 5 1/2 hours.I said well its only 112 more miles to get in another lap,He replies your f%$&* nuts. Also we were riding the loop of the Iron-man triathlon in lake Placid N.Y. Just for fun.

Cool. I have done my share of centuries but nothing that fast - not yet : )
They have a ride in Iowa called Tomrov - 128 the first day 113 the second and pretty much all hills, probably be a fun ride for you to try. It's in June. I've seen a lot of very expensive bike being walked up some of those hills. For us flat landers, it is a good challenge - builds character. (that's not what I was saying while grinding up those hills), but definately a fun ride.
Welcome and enjoy the wealth of info.

Welcome
lalabiker? Hey, I guess with the mini-bus it sort of fits. I tried to visit your friend John to day at Wheel, and he no longer has that job - he is a buyer now. He refered me to Dave instead, talked fer about 90 minutes. Didn't buy, but learned lots. Still looking, surfing e-bay, etc - hopefully will have a new one soon (new for me at least!)
See ya at work - I am off to appleton tomorrow, but will be back wed.
